Ecoline Brush Pens by Royal Talens are going to be released in ten, new, 10-piece themed sets this spring or summer: Pastel, Dark, Bright, Fashion, Orange, Hand Lettering, Botanic, Grey, Illustrator, and Architect.
The Ecoline range started in 1930 and is a liquid watercolor paint in 60 colors that consists of Brush Pens, Ecoline Bottles (in the same palette as the Brush Pens), paper, and accessories.
“The Talens Ecoline range is known for bright, brilliant colors, and Ecoline Brush Pen Markers are no exception. Made from high-quality concentrated dyes in a liquid watercolor base, the low-odor ink is pleasant to use and easy to apply. It mixes cleanly, and adheres well to watercolor paper, drawing paper, and boards. The resilient brush nib is great for covering large areas or drawing very fine details. Available in the same harmonious color range as Ecoline Liquid Watercolors, these economical brush markers can be used for graphic design, illustration, and lettering, plus a variety of school and home projects. The Ecoline Brush Pen Marker range of colors shines especially bright on white or light-colored surfaces.”
New Ecoline Brush Pen Sets: Architect
Note: The packaging says “Skin”, but the Talens website calls this set “Orange.”
I’ve had a chance to try out the new Illustrator set and I was impressed. The colors are bright and juicy and the nib is a joy to work with.
Ecoline Brush Pens are sold individually as open stock and in 27 different sets. There are twelve 5-piece sets, eleven 10-piece sets (including the new ones), one 15-piece set, one 20-piece set, and two 30-piece sets.
